Closures this year affected everyone — those of us working on videos missed the collaboration and creativity while filming on set. As businesses began to re-open, we have been happy to return to on-location shoots. Of course, we knew there would be some changes. FilmFlorida released a list of regulations for clean and healthy production sets.
Content-Creation Challenge During COVID19
One of the biggest challenges has been creating an evergreen feel so that the videos produced today can be enjoyed well beyond tomorrow. Here is how we have been able to maintain safety while ensuring our clients get the highest value for videos:
- Social distance is maintained
- While video subjects can be unmasked during takes, the camera can be distanced by 6 feet
- Production crew members remain masked
Staying safe on the set of our videos is a collaborative effort. Matching our practices to client protocols, while on set, has allowed our clients’ to feel comfortable creating the content they need to continue to connect with their audience.
Working Within Business COVID19 Protocol
Often that content speaks directly to COVID protocols a business may need to promote. As businesses began to re-open here in Florida at the beginning of May, our friends at Palm Coast and The Flagler Beaches, promoted the #PledgetoPrevent as a way to limit the spread of COVID-19. Resources were provided to businesses in the County to keep customers safe.
These protocols allowed businesses to open safely and enabled us to continue to support our clients on projects like Palm Coast & The Flagler Beaches award-winning Handcrafted & Homegrown series which benefits the economy by showcasing local businesses. A win-win!
Calling all #Cinematographers and #VideoMarketers, we would love to hear from you! What are some of the biggest challenges you have faced with adjusting to the new life on your film sets? We are happy to be back on sets and collaborating with our Clients!
